Regulatory and compliance
All Omega Diagnostics products are manufactured in our UK facility to meet ISO 13485 standards for medical Devices and are compliant to MDSAP requirements.
Our CE mark is a declaration that our FoodPrint and FoodDetective products have met the safety and performance requirements of all relevant European and UK medical device directives / regulations.
Our GutDetective sample kit conforms to the UK Medical Device Regulations. The UKCA declaration signifies that a product meets the applicable UK legislation and regulations.
The Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) was created in 2012 to streamline regulatory audits for medical manufacturers. This allows them to undertake a single audit of their quality management system (QMS) that satisfies the requirements of multiple regulatory authorities. This permits a single, efficient audit to meet the regulations in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, and the United States.
Omega Diagnostics is proud to be a member of BIVDA (The British Invitro Diagnostics Association). BIVDA is the national industry association for manufacturers and distributors of in vitro diagnostic tests in the UK.
