As healthcare providers, we understand the dynamic nature of our patients' health and nutritional status.
The importance of recommending a FoodPrint® retest
We hope you find the FoodPrint® test a useful tool within your clinical practice, and that your patients have experienced an improvement in their health and wellbeing since taking their first FoodPrint® test and following an IgG guided elimination diet.
Food sensitivities are on the rise suggesting that environmental factors, such as diet, medication, and lifestyle may affect health and wellbeing, and a number of studies have linked food sensitivities to alterations in the gut microbiota.
How will your patient benefit from retesting for food sensitivities?
Adaptation to changing health dynamics
Just as life evolves, so does our health. Dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes, and medications can all influence gut health and the development of food sensitivities. Recommending that your patient's retake a FoodPrint® test ensures that dietary recommendations are tailored to the current state of their gut, providing updated insights for effective management.
Personalised wellness
Our health and gut microbiota composition are unique, demanding personalised dietary approaches. Retaking a FoodPrint® test ensures your patients receive recommendations that align precisely with their body's requirements, optimising their health and wellbeing.
Early symptom management
Identifying food triggers that over stimulate the immune response is essential for proactive symptom management. Retaking a FoodPrint® test helps pinpoint any new sensitivities that may have emerged over time, empowering your patients to take proactive measures to alleviate symptoms.
Validation of lifestyle interventions
We will often adopt healthier dietary choices and lifestyle habits to improve well-being, but do our bodies agree? If your patient has made positive changes to their lifestyle, like a healthier diet or stress management, retaking a test can confirm the progress they’ve made and provide further encouragement on their wellness journey.
Your patients' health and well-being is our priority, and we're committed to assisting you in guiding them towards better health outcomes.
We do not recommend retesting before 9 months. This ensures there has been sufficient time for the successful breakdown and clearance of immune complexes following the removal of foods, estimated to take a minimum of 6 months. A 9-month timeframe allows for the systematic reintroduction of foods, monitoring of symptoms and for new tolerance thresholds to be understood. Limiting consumption of these foods will avoid a significant build-up of antibodies and immune complexes. If retesting is performed too soon IgG levels will not have changed significantly.
